Fall To Do List

Here is a handy list of tasks to check to see if it’s time to get them done this fall.

  1. If you don’t live in town, when is the last time you had your septic system checked or pumped?
  2. Change your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
  3. Text your hard-wired alarms in your house.
  4. When is the last time you checked on your fire extinguisher?
  5. Put a fresh filter in your furnace before you need to turn it on for the season.
  6. Schedule a furnace tune-up
  7. Clean out your dryer vents, fireplace chimneys, etc.
  8. Make sure you reset your clocks on November 7th when the time change happens and we “fall back”
  9. Unhook hoses from your house and drain
  10. Clean out rain gutters and downspouts of fall leaves.
