Generic products have a come a long way over the years, and have gotten a bad wrap. Whether they actually did taste or cook differently at one time, chances are the products today under a generic store label are nothing like their counterparts of the past. In most cases, I’d be willing to bet most people couldn’t tell the difference. If you’d like a way to save money, give generic items a try. If this is hard for you start with something that logically can’t be much different such as a bag of walnuts, can of mandarin oranges, jug of vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, etc and work your way up. Remember, if you don’t like something, you can switch back. You just may find you can’t tell the difference in anyway, other than your wallet.
