Fruit and Vegetable Wash recipe
Easy! Just add a few tablespoons of vinegar to a bottle of clean, cold tap water. Shake well and spray on veggies and then wash under flowing clean water as usual. Helps to clean those fruits and veggies better than ever – and it’s a lot less expensive than those commercial produce washes.

Bleach alternatives in the washing machine
1/2 cup 3 percent hydrogen peroxide in the rinse cycle
1/2 cup washing soda to warm or hot water wash cycles
1/2 cup lemon juice in the rinse cycle
All of the above will whiten your clothes without using bleach.
Nasty stains in your toilet?
Try a pumice stone…….
To remove toilet rings, flush and wet the sides and apply a paste of borax and lemon juice. Let it sit for 2 hours and then scrub.
The Bathroom Shower……looks nasty??
To wash a shower curtain, fill the washing machine with warm water and two large bath towels. Add 1/2 c. each of detergent and baking soda. Then wash, adding 1 cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Do not spin dry or wash vinegar out. Hang immediately and wrinkles will disappear when completely dry.

Pots and Pans
To clean copper pots, fill a spray bottle with vinegar and 3 tbsp. of salt. Spray on the copper, let it stand for a while, then rub clean.

Does your blender have an odor?
Fill the container halfway with hot water and a couple drops of dish detergent with an ice cube. Cover and blend. Rinse and dry.
More for the dishwasher…
Dip a damp rag in baking soda to clean up any inside spots.
For odors, sprinkle baking soda in the bottom and let it stand overnight.
