Clutter Control in Hutchinson, MN
Posted in Organizing on 30. May, 2010
I have recently started giving my regular cleaning clients a “clutter box”. They fill it with unwanted items and I take them and donate those items to a local thrift store. I have found that the two problems with clutter control is:
1) Getting motivated
2) Getting things actually OUT of your house and delivered to the donation drop.
The clutter boxes take care of both of these problems. Motivation is the box looking at you as well as a date on the calendar telling you that Tidy Tightwads will be there on a specific date to clean. I have had a very positive response to the clutter boxes. Clients tell me that it keeps them motivated to declutter and having some place to put it plus it doesn’t sit in a box in the garage until you “have the time some day” to actually take it to the donation drop.
Clutter is anything unnecessary -more than a pile of unread magazines or too many knick knacks. Getting organized means clearing clutter from your mind, heart and life.
