Got FREE milk?

Yes, I got free milk today!  I’m also excited to share my shopping trip with you.

*Lucky Charms -had a 50 cent coupon

*Lucky Charms-had a 50 cent coupon

*Honey Nut Cheerios had a 50 cent coupon

*Trix-had a $1.00/2 coupon

Cereal was on sale and you got a free gallon of *milk if you bought 4 boxes.

*Chicken-was on sale 2$/8.00 and I used a 75 cent coupon on each package bringing the price to $6.50 for 2 family packs of chicken.

*Crest toothpaste was on sale this week for 78 cents and I had a 75 cent coupon so I paid 3 cents for it.  I really don’t need any toothpaste, but for 3 cents I couldn’t let it go by and it’s a great food shelf donation.

The *Poptarts were free with a $25.00 purchase and I reached that dollar limit before my coupons were deducted.

The “Crystal Lite was on sale this week also and I had 2/$1.00 coupons that I used on each one of those.

My total bill paying full price would have been $32.40.  But, since I don’t pay full price for anything,  I ended up with $13.23 in savings and saved a total of 41% on my total bill.  Plus, I got a catalina (the extra cash register slip that prints out to use on your next purchase) for $2.00 off General Mills cereal, which is NOT added into the total saved.

If you’re interested in learning how to coupon…………without clipping, filing and taking a shoe box with you to the store, to sift through,  let me know.  A class is coming soon to Hutchinson.

Jeanna: You did really good too…..what database are you using for coupons? You’re lucky to have access to a Cub foods….they are very accommodating with the expired coupons. You can send expired coupons, past the 3 months to the troops and apparently they can use them, which would be really nice too. I am checking into an address or where to send them.
