Instead of buying bottled salad dressing…

TRY making your own.  Shake or whisk together one part of balsamic vinegar to three parts of oil with a little prepared mustard, salt, pepper and you’ll get something far superior to the Italian dressings selling for $2.99 a bottle.  Like it creamy?  Whisk in a tablespoon or so of mayonnaise.  Another reason to make your own is to avoid the preservatives in bottled dressing, but the trade-off is that homemade will only keep for a week or so.
